The album starts with Paul Baloche touching tender notes as he sings an emotional love song to God as he's 'Falling' deeper in Love. Gary Sadler sings of the exchange at the cross and chooses 'Only God For Me'. Darrell Evans steps up the tempo as he rejoices in the joy of Jesus by 'Trading My Sorrows' for the agape Love. Billy Funk exuberantly celebrates with the "New Generation" who is seeking the eternal love in the Kingdom. Paul praises and thanks God for "Every Good Thing" and for all that He is - Love. David Baroni's, sings accompanied by an exquisite piano arrangement, "I Hear Music" as he in the midst of a symphony of worship in the stillness and silence of the Spirit. Simply beautiful. In a moving duet Ed Kerr humbly asks God to "Let your Spirit Fall Here" and touch us at our point of need as nothing else will satisfy our hungry hearts. The album concludes with another heartfelt duet, "I Come To You", where Bob Fitts surrenders all that he is and has to the One and only. The music is serene, refreshing, mellow and peaceful. The underlying thread in the uplifting lyrics is that under all circumstances intimately worship the Healer, the Saviour, the Deliverer. God is Love.

FRESH FIRE - Sion Alford

If you are looking out for uninhibited power packed praise this Pentecost then plug into this. A catchy beat is hammered on the drums followed by booming bass chords and your singed by the high energy, 'Sunrise Sunset' "I'm gonna praise his name". 'This is the Day' has powerful punchy vocals fuelled by the rattling and loops on the drums a great running bass and keyboards. 'God Is My Refuge' is tuneful backed by dynamite drums, rock runs on the leads and a strong bass line. Ouch ! This is hot stuff. As it simmers down you are treated to some delicate keyboards which combine with the powerful vocals to give you a quieter 'Your Mercy Endures'. 'My God You Are An Awesome God', which is a beautiful melodious ballad, is its highest quiet moment.
The flip side is fantastic as it sizzles with some super strumming on the guitars, lovely choral voices and a red hot beat with a bit of bongos in 'We've Come To Glorify'. The power chords and the incredibly ignited drummer are back in big business with some intimate lyrics in 'Joy Unspeakable'. The flames rise higher with the supercharged 'I've Got The Joy In My Heart'. Then comes the quick tempo track, 'This Joy That I Have' "the world didn't give it, the world can't take it away." True. 'Holy Is The Lord' and 'Yahweh Is Holy' has very gentle voices backed by soothing keyboards and a simple bass. The furnace is rekindled and stroked once again in a fiery parting blast in 'Fresh Fire'. This has tracks which are highly inflammable, combustible and very contemporary. Feel the Fire.

This album is different. It is not 'live' but is the result of a studio recording. It has some new songs and some old ones, which are given a fresh, new interpretation. The album has the trademark intimate lyrics and incredible song crafting which is backed by the soft soothing vocals of Bob Fitts. The sound is whole, cohesive and round. The album kicks off with some lovely vocals to guitar strumming in 'Draw Near'. The beat picks up and the percussions add a catchy touch in 'Over All'. However 'I'll Never Leave or Forsake You' is a classic with Bob lending his tender voice to heartfelt lyrics set to lovely back ground music and runs on the electric guitar. - "So great is my Love for you … endless and deep… Your name is written on my heart…. For I have set your life apart". You'll reach for the rewind button. The mood turns reflective and slow as he worships God in 'Live in Me', 'As We Pray' and 'Behold the Man'. It has the old favourites with new arrangements on the keyboards and guitar of which 'My Eyes Are Fixed On You', 'Praise To The Lord' and 'He Will Come And Save You' are superb. You'll be comforted not only by the promises in the lyrics (check the inlay card), but also by the sheer musicality of this offering.
